We ran coaching workshops with all the finalists to the People’s Postcode Lottery’s flagship ‘Dream Fund’ competition. The Dream Fund awards £3.5 million every year to ground-breaking ‘dream’ projects being proposed by partnerships of UK charities.
The challenge
To coach and support the finalists to turn their dream project into succinct investment pitches that inspired the decision panel, brought to life the unique benefits of their partnerships, and provided a clear and compelling case for investment.
The solution
We ran half-day coaching workshops with each of the six finalists, guiding them through a series of hands-on, collaborative exercises to help them define their key messages, craft their story, build and refine their presentations, rehearse their pitch, and brainstorm possible questions and challenges.
The impact
We’ve worked with the finalists for the Dream Fund every year since 2017, supporting over 30 pitches in that time, working with over 50 different non-profits.
Over that time, the Dream Fund has invested over £10 million in projects, including developing the UK’s first tech-first, modular pediatric wheelchair, transforming outdoor spaces in school grounds into green growing spaces, and introducing bison to a British woodland for the first time.
"We have used Good Innovation’s expertise to help the Dream Fund finalists for a number of years because we know they will always help the finalists deliver clear, thorough and inspiring pitches. They have been great ambassadors for the ambitious ethos of the Fund. We know we can rely on them to provide well-prepared, expert coaching for the finalists."
